We have three different mat rooms that are bookable for teams and coaches; Wrestling, Judo, Boxing, Jiu Jitsu, Martial Arts
Just like booking court time for other sports. Mats were hard to access and having your own facility is expensive. No more school administration, conflicting schedules, extreme overhead and having to work around custodians hours.
Coach the number of kids you want and pay as low as $25 an hour. Book mat time and train your clients.

About Us
How it Works?
Private Wrestling Coach?
Book facility time for private lessons or small groups under The Mat Club USAW charter. First you will compete our vetting process and get approved as a coach. Once approved you simply go on our google calendar and reserve the mat space you need based on your group size and availability. One on one books a smaller space for less cost per hour. Larger groups book out larger mat spaces or even multiple rooms for camps and events. We can accommodate 1 on 1 to camps of 75+ kids. Because you are booking under our USAW Charter and insurance you must follow our club processes, use our waivers and follow our policies.
Team or Private Club / Program?
Have your own organization? Book facility space on a recurring or single event basis with a license agreement in place. We will work together on a long term schedule. The more hours you book, the lower the hourly rate. You will vett your staff and execute an agreement and you will have access to the facility. You must add us as additional insured and vett your own staff and have your own athlete safety and abuse policies in place. You must be a state registered entity with an EIN that is fully insured.
Why I started the Mat Club?
Hi, I'm Jeff, and I'm passionate about creating better ways to get things done. After running a private sports club in Hoboken for 7 years and growing up with mat-based and action sports, I kept running into the same issue: finding mat space to train my athletes and clients was difficult. So, I built a space specifically for mat-based sports—a place where wrestlers, yogis, jiu-jitsu practitioners, and Thai coaches can train their clients on their terms and schedule.
Our space is perfect for the yoga instructor building a business, the jiu-jitsu coach with a dedicated following, or the wrestling coach needing reliable mat space for private lessons or team practices. Like you, I struggled with finding a reliable place to train the wrestlers I worked with. Inspired by how Edge Hoboken brought people together, I launched this facility during the pandemic, with a vision of creating a community-centered, hourly rental space for people just like us. And from this vision, the Mat Club was born.

Book mat time by the hour when you need it. Team Rates as low as $45 per hour. Private Coaching rates as low as $25 per hour. So many businesses sink because of rent for space they only need a handful of hours per week. Instead, schedule time and pay only when you need it.
